Frequently asked questions
Both. If you are in the South Florida area, I am available to meet at my studio in Parkland. If you are located elsewhere I am available to meet online.
All of them! I like to say that it's never too late or too early to start learning music. In general, I believe that formal piano lessons should not begin before age 5. If you are looking to start earlier, I suggest searching for a Suzuki method teacher/class. This approach specializes in teaching music competence to younger children.
For Adults and teens, I recommend an hour and a minimum of 45 minute lesson. This will help students to advance more quickly. A 30 minute option is available for younger children (and busier adults!) In order to maintain consistent progress, lesson frequency is generally weekly.
Yes. Oftentimes students will focus on more than one area in their lessons, ie: piano and voice or songwriting and piano, etc. There are numerous options! I always begin with students by creating a program that focuses on the skills that they want to learn.
